SEAR Completes Work On New Album

November 20, 2006

Finnish death/black metallers SEAR entered studio Ruho in September to begin tracking their second album. "So now everything is ready, only mastering left and it's [on December 4]. We are releasing a net single: 'Destination' soon after mastering the album, we have made a special version of the song and it's only a net single. The album version contains guest vocals by Thomas Vee (ICONOFEAR). Santeri [Salmi] has done great work with this album, so big thanks to him!!! It's been great that we have been doing this album quite a long time so it's so good as it could get. The release date is going to be in end of February, hopefully..."

SEAR previously stated about the upcoming CD: "We have 10 songs ready and waiting to be recorded, including 'Weeping Flesh' from our demo 2004. We decided to leave 'The Exection' out as it didn't have a place beetween other new songs. Expect about 35 minutes of heavy and aggressive butchering. The new album is going to be more intense, devilish and more consistent than 'Begin the Celebrations of Sin' with a very strong atmosphere."

The as-yet-untitled album was mixed by Santeri Salmi of Studio Dauntless. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Pedon Käsky", "Fire & Death", "One Throne", "The Burning", "Crown of Horns and Pain", "Heaven Ablaze", "Violation Of the Soul" and "Weeping Flesh".

SEAR's debut album, "Begin the Celebrations of Sin", was released in May 2005 via Dynamic Arts Records.
